VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation raises funds for the latest, most sophisticated medical equipment, world-class research and improvements to patient care for Vancouver General Hospital, UBC Hospital, GF Strong Rehab Centre, Vancouver Community Health Services and Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute.

The Foundation’s hospitals and health care professionals deliver "super-specialized" care for the most serious and complex diseases, illnesses and injuries that adults from all across British Columbia may ever face. They are known for leading edge, pioneering research that is changing the way patients are treated and cared for, both here in BC and around the world.

The Foundation is positioning itself to grow annual revenues to new heights, having raised $225 Million over the past seven years and is on track to raise over $35 million this year. Its donations are comprised mainly of major gifts, often complex and significantly sized donations, averaging almost 70% of total Foundation annual revenues.

With a very strong donor base and a significant prospect pipeline, the Foundation is poised for bold growth. The Foundation has created a new role to add strategic and leadership capacity at the management level and contribute to the realization of this aspiration. The Vice President, Major Gifts & Planned Giving is central to the Foundation’s fundraising success and will work in a strong team environment where every member is recognized for playing a critical role.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Fundraising & Marketing, and working closely with the President & CEO, you will contribute to the vision and leadership of the organization and provide leadership to all major gift activities including transformational, major and planned gifts.

You will develop annual plans with clearly defined objectives along with systems to measure and track activities. In this pivotal role, you will enhance the Foundation’s ability to positively impact the communities it serves by increasing the funds raised.
