Background

The Foundation is seeking self-motivated, energetic volunteers to work in a fund-raising setting, working with our dynamic staff team where every team member plays a critical role.
Duties
Volunteers will complete a variety of administrative tasks that support the goals of the department team.
Responsibilities
Data entry, processing direct mail gifts, credit card transactions and market vendor payments
Sort and enter changes of addresses from returned mail
Research and update records in Raiser’s Edge database
Filing, faxing, photocopying and word processing
Sort incoming mail and preparing outgoing mail
Completing related / appropriate tasks
Reception relief processing enquiries from variety of sources to appropriate person
Greet and direct clients, vendors and lost patients
Duration
Ongoing would be ideal but a minimum commitment of 3 months
Time Commitment
Minimum of 2 days per week
Education & Experience
Excellent attention to detail
Computer skills, focus on Microsoft Office and data entry
Excellent communication skills
Customer service experience (preferred)
Ability to follow specific instructions
Ability to work independently and with initiative
Training & Support
On the job orientation
On-going support and supervision from assigned Supervisor
Evaluations, exit interviews and letter of reference are available upon volunteer’s request
Other Requirements
Police record check
Sign and adhere to the confidentiality agreement.
