Fundraising Events

The VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation hosts and assists a variety of fundraising events to benefit patient care each year. The Foundation is supported by individuals, organizations and businesses who organize their own events, attend one of ours, volunteer their time, sponsor or participate by providing in-kind gifts such as auction items. Night of a Thousand Stars Gala

VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation is proud to celebrate the world-class health care professionals at our hospitals and the donors who support them at our signature fundraising event, the Night of a Thousand Stars Gala on Thursday, November 22, 2021 at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. For more than 25 years, the leading-edge team of physicians, nurses and other health care professionals—through their care for patients and research—have helped the Foundation to raise funds to advance world-class health care for people from across B.C.

This stellar evening includes fine dining, dancing and an unparalleled silent auction. Through the years, this annual celebration has raised over $1.5 million for the in it for life Fund – a flexible fund that is dedicated to funding areas of greatest need in research, medical equipment and patient care within VGH, UBC Hospital, GF Strong Rehab Centre and the Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute.
