Donors’ gifts to the in it for life Fund are combined with those of others to purchase the newest, most sophisticated equipment, ensuring that our health care professionals have what they need to provide the specialized care delivered to British Columbians at VGH, UBC Hospital and GF Strong Rehab Centre.

The in it for life Fund is also invested into important research, in many cases helping to launch promising new initiatives that later become major programs within our hospitals. In fact, most of our current fundraising priorities have received research funding through the in it for life Fund. The Centre for Hip Health and Musculoskeletal Research, the B.C. Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn and Wound Healing Research Laboratory, the Eye Care Centre and the Skin Care Centre are all examples of areas that have benefited from donor gifts.
