Ways to give
There are many ways to make a gift to benefit world-class health
care at our hospitals. VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation would be
pleased to assist you with any inquiries.
Gifts of cash
Cheques should be made payable to
VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation, with a notation on the
cheque’s “memo line” directing
the donation to benefit the area you choose.
Monthly giving
Easy, efficient and cost effective - one tax receipt for the
total calendar year's donations.
Donate monthly with your credit card or have it automatically
debited from your chequing account. For less than the cost of a cup
of coffee a day, you can make a difference in the lives of people
across B.C.
Gifts of publicly traded securities. (eg. stocks,
bonds, mutual funds). There are no capital gains tax.
Consider a commitment over a number of years
Gifts over $10,000 may be pledged over a number of years (up to
5 years).
Give a gift for the future
Consider creating a legacy for the future by making a bequest
through your will or gifting a life insurance policy.
Recognition
Gifts of $1,000 and over will be recognized on the Guardian
Circle podiums at VGH & UBC Hospital for one
year. Gifts of $10,000 and over will be recognized
permanently on the donor walls at both hospitals.
