At VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation, we hear from individuals with stories to tell about our hospitals. Some are patients, some are donors; many are both. Their or their loved one's lives have been transformed by the unique care they received at Vancouver General Hospital (VGH), UBC Hospital or GF Strong Rehab Centre.

Burn survivor credits VGH and GF Strong for giving her hope
Heidi Cave was 23 when her life forever changed in an instant. A near-fatal car accident left her with burns to 52 per cent of her body and in a two-week drug induced coma. Read more

 

Matters of the heart
Valory Craske was was diagnosed with severe aortic stenosis. Her aortic valve had stiffened and narrowed, making it difficult for her heart to pump blood through the valve and out into her body. She was the first patient to undergo TAVI at VGH. Read More
